Born and raised in a city where diversity is nonexistent, a proud black woman and mother of 3 embarked on an adventure that would bring cultural awareness, self-love, and sisterhood to the streets of a little town in the mid-west. As President of P.R.E.T.T.Y, Andrea Hooker has begun to bring the dreams and aspirations of little black and brown girls to life.
Andrea's strong determination to lead and succeed has kept her stable in her employment within the State of Michigan over the past 20 years. She has also started her own t-shirt business in which a percentage of the proceeds are donated to her organization. Currently, Andrea attends Kalamazoo Valley Community College where she is studying business, carpentry, and electrical construction. She has plans to build a center for her and the girls to work their magic in the near future. The success of P.R.E.T.T.Y. is her top priority, which is why she has established a team of diverse, educated, and experienced individuals to help her fulfill her mission.
Her energetic, courageous, and giving spirit is fueled by her love for God, which makes her a great advocate for our beautiful black and brown girls.
